Belews Lake
January 1, 2008
Cold New Year's Day at Belews lake. Nicole tried out her new board, and we met up with Rick Mason and a great young hydrofoiler named Cayce Chismar who also braved the cold to ring in the new year. Meredith, Cayce's dad Jim and I were too chicken (smart?) to take the plunge. Air was low fifties, water registered almost 60 at the float bridge, but dropped off quickly. Kudos to the two ladies and to Rick for hitting it. No pics of Rick - Sorry hoss, I was driving, and anyway I hate you for having one of the nicest Super Airs I've ever seen :-)
