One of the best wakeboarding and foiling lakes in central North Carolina has become very unfriendly to the riding community. There are many reasons, but they basically boil down to massive problems with the Hyco Lake Authority. If you own a boat with a tower, you are marked.
So write letters - Ask them why Hyco is so unfriendly to people whose year-round riding is a boost to the local businesses. Ask them to institute grievance procedures to give people a way around what seems to be a "My Way or the Highway" mindset among the people that are currently in charge at Hyco Lake. When you write a letter, send it to all of the addresses listed on the address link below.
Be polite, be factual, but be insistent. And do it often. Email anything negative that happened to you at Hyco Lake to luke@creedmoornc.com and start the subject with HYCO - I'm building a list. Include date, Hyco Lake personnel involved, and whether or not you want your name listed.
