Where is
Why Hyco?
Several reasons. Hyco is a power plant lake, so water temps run 10+ degrees higher than other lakes in the area. There are lots of places with narrow, deep water, so it’s foil friendly. There is convenient refueling on the lake and a marina if you need odds and ends. Note that there are some low bridges on the lake. You will need to lower towers and extended pylons to get under them.
What does it cost?
The lake fee is $15 per day, even if you leave your boat in
the water. Pay it at the ranger station
before you launch. Alternately, you can
purchase an annual sticker for $40. If
